GENERATIVE ENGINEERING DESIGN
Also known as topology optimisation. Using industry leading software, we can develop products by iteratively generating geometry to achieve the optimum structure for a given set of input criteria. Criteria can be things like mass, volume or displacement whilst adhering to a set of non-performance related boundary conditions such as manufacturing methods.

Starting with the input criteria and using AI to determine the optimum structure results in more efficient components that can make it to production in less time with more confidence.

To some, generative design is a relatively new technology, but we have been designing components this way for almost 20 years; driving innovation at the top levels of motorsport.
Whilst additive manufacturing can maximise the benefits of these methods, there are huge gains to be made with many components that will be manufactured via more traditional methods.
